"What's out there?"
Scouts ignore the beaten path. With low pheromone sensitivity, they explore unknown territory, taking risks that harvesters would never take. They find the opportunities everyone else missed.

Specialized Castes
The base archetypes spawn specialized workers for the trading mission. Each caste has a specific role, but no central controller assigns tasks.
The coordinator. She doesn't command - she prevents collisions, distributes work regions, and manages the birth of new agents. The colony's heartbeat.
The explorers. They scan market data for new patterns, testing hypotheses no one else considers. Low pheromone sensitivity lets them think differently.
The weather readers. They sense when the market shifts from trending to ranging to volatile. They spread the regime signal so all ants can adapt.
The workers. They follow proven patterns with high pheromone sensitivity, executing trades on superhighways. The engine of profit extraction.
The caretakers. They manage open positions with trailing stops and take-profit logic. Adaptive sensitivity lets them feel when to hold or fold.
The sentinels. Six specialized ants watching for danger at different timeframes (1s to 15m). Any one can VETO a trade if it senses a crash coming.
The arbiters. They vote on trade decisions using collective wisdom. A quorum of 3 must agree before any trade executes. Democracy in action.
The invisible infrastructure. Pheromone decay, health monitoring, analytics aggregation. They keep the colony alive without anyone noticing.
